Ferret Adrenal Disease by SucittarSucivron Ferret Adrenal Disease by SucittarSucivron
Started volunteering at a ferret shelter to feed my obsession for caring for ferrets.
Many ferrets get a form of adrenal disease as they age, which is cancerous in nature and causes hair loss.
Made me so sad looking at all the unadopted oldies at the shelter all naked without fur.

sorry I've been too busy to post or reply or anything on here, but do have a lot of art to put up!

Poor thing! Great work, though, I love the shading.

Thank you very much! This was a new experimental method of shading combining cell shading and other textured brushes, good to hear it worked out :)

Those are indeed poor animals, but I totally adore your art here.

Thank you very much!
I feel so sad for them, any animal who has had to suffer.

So depressing, this happened to my ferret. But there's something really interesting about how you drew it. I love the details too.

Aww, I am sorry to hear this happened to your fuzzy butt!
And Thank you for your lovely comment!
When I drew and painted this little guy, I was focusing on the beauty in something so horrible.
The eerie look of skin and bone seen on the surface and how they make the form of the animal.
In a way, I think a ferrets hairless-ness can be quite beautiful,
though the darkness behind the cause is still there always looming.
